To Win or Not to Win

This is a very naive opinion, but in the race between Obama and Clinton, it might be best to just pick the candidate that is most likely to beat McCain. When it comes down to it, there is not much difference between the candidates besides gender and skin color.

If Obama wins the primary but loses the general, that would be a bummer. If Obama was preferred but Clinton has a better chance, Clinton might be the better choice in the primary.

Hopefully, though, no matter who wins the primary, all the democrats will bond together to help vote for the democratic candidate. Then it would be best if the other parties were to vote for this democratic candidate. Amusingly, Ralph Nader has decided to join and this seems to help the republican candidate McCain.

As it is, the general consensus seems to be that Clinton would have a better chance at beating McCain. Hopefully the democrats have not made a mistake. The media has made the public too caught up in choosing between Obama and Clinton that perhaps the better picture was forgotten.

On the other hand, I’ve felt I’ve become more politically aware since the media started to cover the primaries since end of last year.

Through that, I’ve realized I agree more on the democratic stances than the republicans. So, I hope a democrat wins the next presidency.
